Peter Slaughter, MD

Dr. Peter Slaughter was a respected and committed pediatrician whos work and reach went well beyond the boundaries of his practice.  He worked tirelessly for the underserved community with Henry Ford Hospital, Sisters of Mercy and Detroit Community Health Connection where he retired in 1992.
As an advocate for children, he often donated his expertise on child abuse cases.  He leaves a life of love and a legacy of care that will be remembered with the dedication and naming of the Detroit Community Health Connection Peter Slaughter Health Center located at 20303 Kelly Road in Detroit where his commitment and care will continue to shape the care for our community.
